Individual stimulation protocols

Ovulation stimulation with fertility drugs is one of the most critical segments of successful AR treatment. It must be individualized, and the protocols in our clinic are selected based on a number of patient characteristics, her cycle and previous treatment. Stimulation of ovulation with low or high ovarian reserve is the most difficult because having more mature oocytes is a prerequisite for IVF success. At the same time, we should be careful not to cause hyperstimulation.

In more complicated patients, we try to mimic nature, achieving ovulation under the synergy of two pituitary hormones - FSH and LH. The use of FSH alone (which is standard) is not sufficient. This is why combination protocols are a fine selection and interaction of different types of drugs, as well as their respective dosages:

  • FSH (gonal, puregon, rekovelle, elonva)
  • LH (luveris)
  • HCG (has LH activity - Menopur, Merional or similar)
  • GnRH agonists or antagonists.

Sometimes, combinations of Clomid/ or Letrozole with the addition of gonadotropins are used.

Special combinations include IVF cycle preparation

  • androgens (testogel, DHEA), growth hormone, metformin.
