GYNECOLOGY AND PREGNANCY

GYNECOLOGY AND PREGNANCY

GYNECOLOGY AND PREGNANCY

The first examination in pregnancy should be carried out as early as possible, i.e. in healthy pregnant women, certainly by the 8th week.

Regular pregnancy monitoring is of great importance for the health of mother and baby.

At the MIA polyclinic, you can find:

  • Determination of pregnancy
  • Processing and regular monitoring of pregnancy
  • Ultrasound examinations: 3D/4D, colour Doppler, fetal development, placental function
  • Diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy
  • Processing and treatment of spontaneous and recurrent miscarriages
  • Prenatal genetic diagnosis

Prenatal tests

Most babies born are entirely normal. However, there is a slight chance, regardless of the age of the pregnant woman, that a baby will be born with a physical or mental disability. In some cases, these difficulties are caused by chromosomal abnormalities, by women and men ageing, and by gametes becoming increasingly unfit so that the possibility of chromosomal and genetic diseases is greater.

The most common chromosomal abnormalities are Down syndrome (trisomy 21), Edwards syndrome (trisomy 18) and Patau syndrome (trisomy 13).

MIA polyclinic offers a reliable risk assessment for chromosomal abnormalities with a simple, non-invasive test that analyzes the baby's genetic material in the mother's blood.

There are available:

  • Harmony Prenatal Test
  • Prenatal test NIFTY and others
